2024 Toyota LandCruiser Prado Review

Toyota has recently revealed its latest marvel, the 2024 Toyota LandCruiser Prado, is set to be known as the Land Cruiser in the US. The 2024 LandCruiser Prado marks a significant leap forward in design, interior comfort, and off-road capabilities. While the engine choices vary by region, each option promises a powerful and efficient driving experience. As we anticipate the Land Cruiser Prado’s arrival on the market, it’s evident that Toyota has meticulously crafted a vehicle that balances style, technology, and performance. In this detailed review, we’ll explore the exterior, interior, and powerhouse engines that make this vehicle stand out.

LandCruiser Prado Exterior

The 2024 LandCruiser Prado boasts a striking exterior, available in two distinct models. The design, reminiscent of the Lexus GX, showcases square headlights, prominent Toyota lettering on the grille, and fog lights, giving it a rugged yet stylish look. With all-terrain tyres and robust wheel arch guards, the Land Cruiser Prado exudes off-road capability.

The circular LED lights in the “Defender” design pay homage to the Land Rover Defender, adding a touch of adventure. The rear features LED tail lights, Land Cruiser branding, and a redesigned tailgate, enhancing the vehicle’s road presence.

LandCruiser Prado Interior

Step inside the cabin, and you’ll find a revolutionary interior design. The outdated feel of the previous generation is replaced with a modern, sophisticated aesthetic. The 12.3-inch displays for the infotainment cluster and driver’s view offer advanced technology at your fingertips. The interior showcases quality materials, soft-touch surfaces, and a JBL sound system for an elevated driving experience. Notable features include third-zone climate control for the second row, USB-C ports, HDMI ports, and a host of controls for features like the 360 camera, multi-terrain select, and crawl control.

New engine options

The 2024 Toyota Prado offers three engine options: a 2.7-liter normally aspirated four-cylinder, a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, and a hybrid version of the 2.4-liter turbo engine. The 2.7-litre engine generates 160 horsepower and 246 pound-feet of torque, whilst the 2.4-litre turbo engine makes 279 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. The hybrid version of the 2.4-litre engine generates 328 horsepower and 630 pound-feet of torque.

Despite the absence of a V6 or petrol option, the lineup remains robust. Notably, North America and China receive a turbocharged 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine from the Lexus Hybrid, delivering an impressive 243 kilowatts of power and 630-newton meters of torque.
