Since it was updated for the 2021 model year, the Lexus IS has an angular, contemporary look. The addition of new appearance packages for the IS series in 2023 won’t stop Lexus from spritzing up the looks anymore. While the Lexus IS 350 with a V-6 engine has its own appearance package with a two-tone exterior, the IS 500 F Sport with a V-8 engine adds the striking new orange paint colour, Molten Pearl.
For the 2023 model year, Lexus has made a number of improvements to the IS lineup. The IS 300 and Lexus IS 350 F Sport models have improvements that are the first of the revisions. Most significantly, the Lexus IS 350 will be available in a new F Sport Design grade with modifications to the bumpers, front grille, rear lip spoiler, and emblems in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive models. Also included are distinctive 19-inch F Sport alloy wheels.
The IS 350 F Sport will also receive a Handling Package for 2023 that includes Adaptive Variable Suspension, a Torsen limited-slip rear differential for models with rear-wheel drive, 19-inch matte black BBS wheels, and Drive Mode Select with Sport S/S+ and Custom Modes to increase driving excitement.
For 2023 IS 350 F Sport, a Special Appearance Package has also been included. It has a black NuLuxe interior, 19-inch Enkei alloy wheels with a dark finish, and an Incognito paint finish that is highlighted by an Obsidian black hood and roof. Customers will only be able to purchase 480 examples as of this fall.
The 2023 Lexus IS 500 F Sport and IS 500 F Sport Premium have also changed. The 19-inch Enkei alloy wheels that come standard on the IS 500 will have a dark finish, while the 19-inch BBS forged alloy wheels that come standard on F Sport Performance models will be matte black.
Additionally, the IS 500 F Sport will be available with the Special Appearance Package in 2023. It has 19-inch matte black BBS forged wheels and an exterior paint finish of Molten Pearl with a Black NuLuxe interior. The Special Appearance Package also includes key gloves and colour-coordinated floor-trimmed mats. Sales of the bundle will begin this fall, with production limited to 150 pieces.
Lexus will offer ten exterior paint choices for 2023 IS, including Ultra White, Eminent White Pearl, Atomic Silver, Cloudburst Gray, Iridium, Caviar, Matador Red Mica, Infrared, Grecian Water, and Ultrasonic Blue Mico 2.0.
In addition, IS 500 F Sport Performance versions now come with interior decorative ornamentation completed in Black Metallic paint, Black Geometric Film, or Satin Chrome. The Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 includes important safety features as standard equipment, such as a Pre-Collision System with Frontal Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Pedestrian Detection, and Bicyclist Detection.
The IS 300 has a starting price of $40,585, and the IS 500 F Sport Premium has a price of $62,770, plus a delivery, processing, and handling charge of $1,150.
