Volkswagen expanded its extensive lineup of SUVs in the market by introducing a brand-new model in China. The Volkswagen Tavendor is a medium-to-large SUV with contemporary styling and lots of interior technology manufactured locally by the FAW-VW joint venture. It is built on the MQB Evo platform. Two exterior variations of Volkswagen’s new SUV will be available the regular version and the R-line kit version.
Dimension
4936 millimetres in length, 2015 millimetres in width, and 1767 millimetres in height are the dimensions of the FAW-VW Tavendor. The SUV has double five-spoke wheels with a wheelbase of 2 980 millimetres.
Volkswagen Tavendor Exterior
The Volkswagen Tavedor model has entire body ambient external lighting on the exterior. Volkswagen’s insignia is prominently displayed on the front and rear of the vehicle, and the rear sports blazing x-shaped taillights. The SUV incorporates a new lightning design to match its fire design motif. The glowing logo supports this fresh appearance. door handle lamps, luggage rack lamps, and fender light strips. Other possibilities include floor lamps and front-facing lamps.
Volkswagen Tavendor Interior
Inside, the interior is pleasantly modest, with clean lines that complement the minimalist external design. There is also a floating dual-screen design with a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel and a 12-inch central control screen. The car will also have a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a push-button electronic shift mechanism, and a touch-sensitive air conditioning control panel with LCD.
Engine, power and Transmission
The new 2023 Volkswagen Tavendor will be powered by a non-electrified turbocharged 2.0-litre TSI four-cylinder engine with two power output options. The standard model will generate 183 horsepower (137 kW/186 PS), while the more powerful form would generate 217 horsepower (163 kW/ 220 PS). The engine will be exclusively coupled with the seven-speed DSG automatic transmission, which will transfer power to either the front or all four axles (4Motion).
Volkswagen Tavendor’s price
The 2023 Volkwagen Tavendor’s price will be revealed closer to the time of the model’s planned fourth-quarter market debut in China. The new SUV is anticipated to have a starting price of roughly $42,000.
