The new 2023 Volkswagen Amarok pickup truck has finally been unveiled. It looks completely different from the outgoing model and is built on the same platform as the ford ranger. Not only that it comes with a choice 5 engine and more modern tech features. In the interior, the new Volkswagen Amarok offers plenty of space achieved by a 100mm length increase.  Depending on the market the new Amarok will be available in both single and dual cab pickup body styles.

Volkswagen Amarok Exterior

Despite sharing a platform with the Ford Ranger, the outward design of the Volkswagen Amarok will be entirely different. The next Volkswagen Amarok will have headlights that are narrower from the front than the Ford Ranger’s c-shaped units. The grille, which has a more horizontal appearance and houses the Amarok badge, is also radically different.

Moving to the back, you’ll notice that the tailgate has the model name written across it in huge letters, and sleek LED taillights will be placed on either side of it.

The 2023 Volkswagen Amarok will be larger and 100mm longer than the older model. However, this model, it will be offered as single and dual cab pickup body styles. There are also many wheel sizes ranging from 14 to 21 inches. The new model is 96mm longer than the previous model, measuring 5350mm in length. Its wheelbase has increased by 173mm to 3270mm, giving extra interior room for back seat passengers in particular. The overhangs are shorter since the wheelbase has risen more than the overall length. The new model is 1910mm broad, or 2204mm with mirrors, which is wider than the previous model. The Amarok, like the original car, has a height of up to 1888mm depending on the wheel/tire combination.

Additionally, a six-speed manual and automatic transmission will be available, along with the choice of switchable rear or all-wheel drive.

The other powertrain is a bi-turbo unit with an output of 150Kw or 154kW  and 500 NM  of torque. Based on the region this powertrain will be paired with either a 6-speed or 10-speed automatic transmission

A 2.3-litre turbo petrol four-cylinder engine will also be offered to make 222KW AND 452 NM of torque. for this powertrain, an all-time four-wheel drive and 10-speed automatic are standard.

for the 2023 year model, a 3.0-litre diesel v6 is the top-ranking powertrain for the Volkswagen Amarok. The v6 engine delivers a stunning 177KW or 184kw  and 600NM of torque. This is based on the market too.

Volkswagen Amarok Price

Although the Volkswagen Amarok price is not yet known, it is safe to infer that the new Amarok will cost more than the previous model given the rising cost of materials, the trend of rising prices with new-generation models, and the enhanced safety and on-board technology. Prices start at $45,890 before taxes for the entry-level four-cylinder Core manual and go up to $81,490 for the Walkinshaw-modified V6 W580S.
