The Toyota Landcruiser Prado has been one of the biggest successes for Toyota across the decades. Thanks to its enough room inside and the ability to go anywhere. Recently there have been reports from a Japanese site of the Toyota Prado going electric.
Based on the reports, the new 2023 Toyota Landcruiser Prado will be powered by a new petrol hybrid powertrain. It is said to be a 2.4-litre inline four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor. This combination is said to give the Toyota Prado more power and also improved efficiency.
According to the reports the new engine produces around 247hp on its own and from the electric motor, a total of 147hp is all we get. This combination makes the power numbers total 394hp
However, Earlier reports from Japan suggested the land cruiser Prado will have either a 2.8-litre twin-turbo diesel or a 2.7-litre naturally aspirated petrol engines. We are also expecting the diesel- and petrol-electric hybrid power trains to come around in 2024.
Some reports have also suggested the Toyota SUV will pack a tuned version of the LC300’s 3.3-litre twin-turbo-diesel engine.
None of this reports have been confirmed yet, although we expect some to be revealed soon with also a new Toyota Landcruiser Prado being revealed next year.
