If you are a Japanese sports car lover, of late you have noticed the rise in demand in the aftermarket offers, right?. Whereas the fourth-generation Toyota supra mk4 has been one of the most popular tuned cars ever. Here today we are talking about this wide-body Toyota GR supra tuned by SARD. Its is a Japanese tuning company and a racing team that is always hungry for making Toyota sports cars faster and good looking. That’s in case you haven’t about SARD, They took us back to the 90s where we had the mk4 supra. SARD handed the Toyota GR supra A90 more power and a menacing wide body kit.
Talking about the power and engine, the tuned GR Supra is powered by a BMW 3.0-litre turbocharged in-line six engines like the standard model. But SARD did a little tweaking of the engine making it deliver an extra output of 111 HP and 186 nm of torque. All this was achieved by upgrades on the BorgWarner turbo, a billet compressor wheel, the ramped ECU, a titanium exhaust system and the high-low catalytic converter.
In comparison with the standard model, the BMW sourced 3.0-litre engine powers 382 horsepower and 499 NM of torque. Now, the tuned GR supra by SARD powers a total of 493 horsepower and 685 NM of torque. The custom Toyota gr supra is said to claim zero to 100km/h in just 3.7 seconds, compared to the regular gr A90 that does it in 4.3 seconds.
However, in order this tuned Toyota gr supra to be compatible with all this extra power, a list of cool features had to be added. This includes adjustable suspension, Alcon brakes with six-piston front callipers and stabilizer bars. The custom Toyota supra was also handed large sports 20-inch alloy wheels to roll on.
Power aside, on the new looks side, the tuned GR looks really cool and aggressive in the wide-body kit. this has made it wider than the ordinary Toyota gr supra with 3.14 inches. On this, there is a new diffuser and a larger exhaust. Additional vents have also been added on the hood where also the front air intakes look bigger. On the rear end, is a subtle spoiler, where the back of the tuned supra looks masculine, thanks to the flared fenders and the modified rear bumper that fits very well to the large vents.
Shockingly, only 20 units will be made. If you want to get one of this you will have to pay a hefty price of $120000.this is actually thrice the price of a regular Toyota gr supra.
