Although Audi unveiled the revised Audi A3 in Europe earlier this year in March 2024, detailed specifics for North American variants have just surfaced. Interestingly, there’s only one variant available for 2025. The front-wheel-drive A3 has been discontinued, leaving Quattro as the sole option for the compact luxury sedan. The 2.0-litre turbocharged engine remains, but torque has been elevated to 236 lb-ft—marking a 15 lb-ft enhancement.
While horsepower from the 2.0 TFSI engine still sits at 201 hp, the increase in torque helps the 2025 A3 shave 0.3 seconds off its 0-60 mph sprint, completing it in exactly six seconds. If that doesn’t satisfy speed cravings, the refreshed S3 shaves the time down to 4.4 seconds thanks to a 22-hp boost, bringing its total to 328-hp. Torque for the S3 stays the same at 295 lb-ft.
The images shared by Audi still depict the European models, where the sedan is accompanied by the more practical five-door Sportback. For the 2025 US model, the A3 rides on 17-inch V-spoke wheels as standard, with an 18-inch five-double-spoke alloy, finished in two-tone, available as an option. Four new exterior colours grace the palette: Arkona White, Arrow Gray pearl effect, Progressive Red metallic, and District Green metallic.
Inside the cabin, the 2025 Audi A3 is equipped with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen display, both standard. Ambient lighting is included, as are two USB-C ports for front passengers and two additional ports for rear-seat occupants. The base model features a three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel. opt for the S3, and you’ll find dual-zone automatic climate control, contour lighting, stainless steel pedals, a black headliner, and illuminated door sills. Additionally, the S3 inherits the RS3’s rear torque-splitting differential for improved handling dynamics.
Starting at $39,495, the Audi A3 Quattro’s Premium trim level costs $600 more than last year’s model. The S3, on the other hand, begins at $49,995, reflecting a $1,500 price hike.
As for the RS3, Audi remains tight-lipped about its North American release. However, the five-cylinder version debuted in Europe just last month, and we anticipate it will arrive stateside slightly above the previous model’s starting price of $63,395—before options, of course.
