Bold bodywork styling
On the exterior, the 2022 Subaru WRX appears to have a wide-body design. It all starts from the front, where it features a Subaru signature hexagonal grille, well fitted LED headlights and a broad front hood scoop. The sports sedan also features prominent character lines all over that also emphasize more its capability in strength and pure performance, for 2022, the front fenders are also made of aluminium which is said to reduce its weight by 50 pounds. Additionally, Power windows with auto up/down on both driver and passenger sides; 60/40-split fold-down rear seat; power door locks and side mirrors are standard.

More powerful engine and dynamic performance
With Subaru claiming that the 2022 Subaru WRX will ride and handle better on the new platform, Under the hood, the 2022 WRX features a more powerful 2.4 litre turbocharged flat four-cylinder engine. This engine delivers 271 hp and 258-pound feet of torque via a six-speed manual fitted with optimized and refined gear ratios to improve the shift quality. for 2022, a new Subaru Performance automatic Transmission is also available for the WRX which offers up to 30 per cent faster up-shifts and 50 per cent quicker downshifts. A set of paddle shifters on the steering wheel are also available for those who go for the automatic, where they also control and select three driving mode settings. The 2022 WRX model features an all-wheel-drive system which is of course a tradition for the Subaru WRX. Additionally, it rides on a set of either 17 or 18 inches summer performance wheels
New WRX GT trim level
Surprisingly, in 2022 Subaru WRX lineup, adds up a new GT trim level model. It uses the same 2.4 turbocharged engine. To provide a dynamic performance, the GT model features electronically controlled adaptive dampers in the presence of comfort, and normal and sporty settings. Both the driver and passenger seats in the GT have increased support for performance driving. An 8-way power adjustment is also available to the driver’s seat. The WRX GT rides on exclusive matte grey 18-inch aluminium alloy wheels featuring the summer performance tires.

An EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, enhanced with the expanded angle of view and software performance improvements that deliver a wider range of operations is standard to all trims. In addition, responsive braking and performance in emergency stops are well-improved thanks to the electric brake booster. An improved Lane Departure Prevention function is also available to provide smoother and more natural assistance. Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering is now included in the EyeSight system’s suite of features. at speeds under 50 mph, Automatic Emergency Steering and Pre-Collision Braking System are also available to assist with steering control to help avoid a collision.
