The 2023 Subaru Solterra EV is Subaru’s first small SUV that runs entirely on electricity. Subaru and Toyota collaborated to jointly develop the basis for this electric SUV, resulting in this EV. Despite having a similar appearance to the BZ4X, there are notable aesthetic variances. The front end of the 2023 Subaru Solterra EV is more closed off. It also sports a distinct front apron and headlamp structure, as well as a different placement of the brand logos.
Engine, power and transmission
The Subaru Solterra is an all-electric compact SUV with a battery pack and two electric motors positioned on the front and rear axles. The aggregate output of the electric motors is 215 horsepower. Not only that, but the all-electric compact SUV can travel up to 285 miles on a single charge.

The Solterra’s battery pack has a gross capacity of 72.8 kWh, according to Subaru. those with 18-inch wheels have a range of 228 miles, while those with 20-inch wheels have a range of 222 miles. Subaru claims that when plugged into a Level 2 charging station, the Solterra’s integrated 6.6-kWh charger can recharge the battery in nine hours. When connected to a 100-kW DC fast charger, an 80-per-cent charge is said to take roughly 56 minutes.

The interior of the 2023 Subaru Solterra EV appears to have a high-mounted digital gauge cluster, a large touchscreen for the infotainment system, and an elevated centre console with what appears to be a rotary shift mechanism.
The inside appears to be light and airy due to the steep windscreen, big side glass, and panoramic sunroof. A pleasing look is also enhanced by the use of a variety of appealing textures throughout.
