The Nissan Rogue returned in 2023 following a complete facelift for the 2021 model year. The Nissan Rogue 2022 is a stylish vehicle, but it lacks the athleticism and fun-to-drive attitude of the Mazda CX-5 and Volkswagen Tiguan. As an SUV, the Rogue excels in utility and value, with a comfortable and roomy interior, plenty of storage space, and a slew of high-tech features for entertainment and safety.
The Nissan Rogue has a 106.5-inch wheelbase. The overall exterior length is 183 inches, the width is 72.4 inches, and the height is 66.5 inches.
Nissan Rogue Exterior
Despite its split headlights and v-motion grille, the 2022 Nissan Rogue is not an aggressive piece of design. However, thanks to Nissan, for its restraint at first glance, the lines here are appealing but they are a little conservative. The rear wheel arches have a prominent character line, but the two-box shape remains simple due to the vehicle’s lack of off-road capabilities. The wheel arches are surrounded by plastic. There are some clever touches hidden in that body, however, which are enhanced by front fascia air curtains and active grille shutters. A massive motion-activated rear tailgate is hidden behind the uninspiring upright rear end.
Nissan Rogue Interior
Stepping inside, interior design elements such as the squared-off shift knob, level dashboard, and storage covers improve functionality. It also adds a touch of modernity. Faux leather upholstery is available on the entry-level SV model, while genuine leather is standard on the higher-end SL and platinum rogues models.
The latter is a semi-annoying hide with quilted stitching. In addition to heated front seats and a heated steering wheel, three-zone automatic climate control is available. However, the cargo capacity behind the second row of seats has been reduced slightly from 39 to 37 cubic feet compared to the previous model.
Infotainment and connectivity features
The dashboard prominently displays a touchscreen infotainment system. The Rogue SL and Platinum models, however, have an optional 9.0-inch screen. Along with the standard 8.0-inch display, apple car-play and android auto are included. Optional high-end features include in-dash navigation and a Bose stereo system. The platinum model only has a customizable 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. A large 10.8-inch head-up display is also included, as is a wireless charging pad for smartphones.
Engine, power and Transmission
Nissan has replaced the 2.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine in the Rogue with a 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine. The 1.5-litre engine produces 201 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque. The Nissan rogue CVT and front-wheel drive are standard for the 2022 model, with all-wheel drive available as an option. Nissan claims that the new turbocharged three-cylinder engine can achieve up to 30 miles per gallon in the city and 37 miles per gallon on the highway.
Safety and Driver assistance features
The 2022 Nissan Rogue is outfitted with a plethora of basic safety and driver assistance features. Automatic emergency braking, pedestrian recognition, and front collision warning are among the features available. lane departure warning, blind-spot warning, high beam assist and rear cross-traffic alert. Driver attention warnings and intelligent trace control are also standard features. Both of their aid in the car’s control during turns. Professional pilot assistance is also available. This semi-autonomous driving system assists with acceleration, braking, and steering while driving on the highway.

The 2022 Nissan Rogue price starts at $26,700, plus a $1,175 destination charge. That’s $650 more than the 2021 model. The SV trim, which is expected to be the best-seller, starts at $28,390. Rogue SL trims start at $33,050, and the top-of-the-line Rogue Platinum is $36,480.
