Of course, it’s not the first time Mercedes as an automaker is building a pick-up truck. They have made the 6*6 G63 AMG truck and also the Mercedes Benz x-class. However, the Mercedes x class was discontinued due to its slow sales. It’s not a pure Mercedes since it’s no different from the Nissan Navarra on which it’s based on. But we always wish it was built by Mercedes itself which it’s a pretty good idea for Mercedes to try building an x class on their own. Here, we have one truck that Mercedes should build envisioned by a rendering artist, j.b cars.
This is a single cab pickup truck based on the famous Mercedes G63. It is an imagination of how what an all-new single cab pickup from Mercedes could look like. Of course, we can’t say that this could be the primary g class pick up to ever be built. But, this would be the first-ever single cab to be built and also be based on the hard-core Mercedes g63 AMG model.
One thing about this creation is, it would be lighter than the g63 itself since it only features two doors. A standard G63 weighs around 5700 pounds. The back row would be replaced by a truck bed this would reduce the amount weight of materials that make the row behind the driver’s area.
Under the hood, this rendering would feature a 4.0-litre twin-turbo v8 just like the hard-core G63. This v8 engine delivers 577 horses and 627-pound feet of torque. Despite the g63 weighing 5700 pounds in weight, it manages 0- 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds. So, this pickup truck would be even quicker.
When it comes to off-roading, these pickup truck capabilities wouldn’t be questionable. The g 63 is one of the best off-road SUVs and for real we wouldn’t expect this pick up to be poor in that.
What do you think about it Mercedes g63 single cab? Don’t you think it’s a perfect idea for Mercedes to try? Oh yes.
