Recently, Mazda hinted at bringing a new nameplate in its lineup, the all-new Mazda cx-50 SUV. It is built on the same platform with the Mazda Cx-30 subcompact crossover and the Mazda 6. Despite that, it looks bigger than the existing CX5 in the lineup and has a new refined design. The CX-50 comes to rival the likes of Hyundai Tucson, Nissan Rogue, and the Toyota RAV4.it is expected to go on sale in mid-2022 as the 2023 model. Engine, Transmission, and Performance

Under the hood, all Mazda CX-50 models will pack a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine. However, some model trims will be powered by a powerful turbocharged version of the engine producing 250HP while the base non-turbo will deliver around 186hp. All engines will be mated with a six-speed automatic transmission which comes as standard and all-wheel drive.

A hybrid version is also said to be in works speculated to share the same power train with the Toyota RAV 4. The RAV 4 is powered by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine combined with two electric motors to produce 215hp
