Despite its new appearance, the iconic Mustang muscle car retains all of its distinguishing stylistic cues from the most recent generation. Despite the world becoming more electrified, it retains its petrol-powered engines, including the renowned 5.0-litre V8. Although there are fewer coupes on the market now than previously, the BMW 2 Series Coupe, Toyota Supra and GT86, Audi TT, and Ford’s own Mustang Mach-E, which is Ford’s only all-electric vehicle, are all formidable rivals for the 2023 Ford Mustang.

The driver is presented with a 12.4-inch fully customizable instrument cluster that has many different display options, including retro-style Mustang gauges.
Infotainment and connectivity features
The main touchscreen, a 13.2-inch stack running Ford Sync 4 infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connection, is located in the centre of the vehicle. According to Ford, “We knew what customers wanted and developed the most digital Mustang ever while preserving the crucial driver-focused cockpit.”
Engine, Power and Transmission
The traditional 5.0-litre V8, now in its fourth iteration, is the only powerplant confirmed for the next Ford Mustang thus far. With selectable drive modes, Mustang owners will be able to optimize performance “from their favourite highways to their local track.” It will be available with both manual and automatic gearboxes.
Up to six drive modes—all of which, according to Ford, are “interactive and customisable”—are available. There are five of these: Normal, Sport, Slippery, Drag, Track, and a custom setting. When a mode is selected, the digital instrument panel’s high-fidelity graphics “bring the mode to life.”
2023 Ford mustang Dark Horse
Ford has additionally advanced matters with the release of the Mustang Dark Horse version. This 5.0-litre V8-powered vehicle is described as “the most track-ready, naturally-aspirated Mustang ever, pushing Mustang’s comeback to worldwide motorsport” and has better suspension and aerodynamics. The Dark Horse has a higher-output 5.0-litre V8 engine (Ford isn’t yet disclosing power numbers), dual throttle-body intakes, and, as part of the standard Performance Package, an auxiliary engine oil cooler, gearbox oil cooler, Torsen limited-slip differential, and more potent cooling fans.
The Ford Mustang Dark Horse boasts unique chassis tuning in addition to modified front dampers, bigger rear anti-roll bars, a rear K-brace, 19-inch Brembo front brakes, Pirelli P Zero PZ4 tires, and MagneRide active suspension. Ford means business, that much is obvious. There is even an electrical drift brake.
The Performance Pack is another standard feature of the Ford Mustang GT. The Active Valve Exhaust, Sport Limited-Slip Differential, Brembo brakes, and 19-inch alloy wheels are all included. One option for suspension is MagneRide.
Ford Mustang Price
The base price of the 2023 Ford Mustang is $27,770. With this, you can get the entry-level 4-cylinder turbocharged coupe model. The cheapest new Mustang convertible uses the same engine and starts at $33,270. The top model, the 2023 Mach 1 Premium coupe-only, costs roughly $58,000.
