Chevrolet has continued its electric cars launch streak this year by adding the latest model in its line up the 2024 Chevrolet equinox EV. This is a small subcompact electric SUV that is built on the same platform as the Chevrolet blazer EV and the Cadillac Lyriq. Powering this EV is a set of two battery sizes depending on the model trim. This brings us to the entry-level trim that uses the smaller battery which offers a good estimated range of 250 miles when fully charged. According to the automaker, the Equinox EV is set to go on sale by the end of the year 2023 where the price for the base model is anticipated to start off under $30,000.
Chevrolet Equinox EV Exterior
The Equinox EV has an attractive exterior look. The aerodynamic profile is complemented by the thin lighting components. The LT and RS trims are designed to give the Equinox EV two unique personalities. Chevy has confirmed that the LT and RS models’ wheel diameters will vary. However, their suspension calibration will remain the same, so don’t anticipate noticeably different on-road characteristics. The Equinox EV’s standard wheels are 19 inches, although higher trims also offer 20 and 21-inch wheel options.

For high-end model trims, A 19.2-kW Level 2 charger, which can add 51 miles to the Equinox 3RS’s range in an hour, is available. The highest DC fast charging speed for the Equinox EVs will be 150 kW, which is potent enough to add 70 miles of range in as little as 10 minutes. Chevrolet claims.
Safety and driver assistance features
In terms of safety and driver assistance features, it all starts with the GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driving assistance system, which is available on the Equinox EV. Unfortunately, the Super Cruise safety feature is not standard on every Equinox EV. However, the Equinox Ev does come with other features like rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking assistance, front collision warning, lane-keeping assistance, lane-departure warning, and blind-spot monitoring.
Chevrolet Equinox EV Price
The 2024 Equinox EV price is said to start at around $30,000. The vehicle will go on sale in late 2023. The Equinox EV will debut as a limited-edition 2RS model, and according to Chevy, fleet customers will also be able to purchase the vehicle.
