In its sixth generation, it joins the minivan battle ground ready to take on its rivals such as the Toyota Noah and Honda step WGN. On the exterior, the new Nissan Serena minivan features the latest Nissan design language. On the front end, it features beautiful LED headlights merging with its V-motion grille. However, this minivan continues to maintain its boxy body shape like other minivans despite having more sculpted bodywork.
The Nissan Serena comes in two different variations when it comes to styling. There is the Autech version for customers looking for a sportier and premium minivan. This variant features chrome infused interior and different upholstery in the cabin.
The other variant is the top spec Serena Luxion, it comes with more pronounced bumpers and side skirts and a grille that merges with the lower intakes
In terms of dimensions, the new Nissan Serena wheelbase has grown compared to its previous generation. It measures 4690 mm or 4765mm long, 1695 or 1715 mm and a height of 1870 or 1885 mm and a wheelbase of 2870mm
Nissan Serena Interior Features
Stepping inside, the 2023 Serena minivan features plenty of modern tech features and cabin space for its passengers. This starts from an extra 120mm of driver’s legroom compared to the previous generation. The seating configuration changes from a 7 seater to an 8 seater thanks to the second-row multipurpose centre seat. For making life easier, Nissan made smartphone pockets, cup-holders, USB ports and onboard WiFi features easily accessible for each passenger.
In terms of tech features, the new Serena features a modern dashboard with a fully digital cockpit. a button-operated automatic gearbox that sits next to a touch-sensitive panel for climate control is also available. Other awesome features also include optional hands-free operated sliding doors and a dual tailgate capable of opening in tight spaces. A 100AC optional power outlet is also available in the hybrid models.
Engine, power and Transmission
Under the bonnet, the new Serena is available with gasoline and hybrid powertrain versions. the gasoline variant features a naturally aspirated 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that delivers 148hp and 200 NM of torque. This version is only offered with a CVT gearbox and comes with both FWD and 4WD set-up. Moving to the Hybrid versions. They are powered by a 1.4-litre three-cylinder paired with a single electric motor. This combination delivers a total output of 161 HP and 315 NM of torque and it’s available with an FWD only.
Safety and driver assistance features
When it comes to safety features the base models come with the regular ProPILOT feature as standard. The flagship Serena Luxion gets the ProPILOT 2.0 suite which enables free hand driving on the highway and remote packing with memorizing packing spaces ability.

The 2023 Nissan Serena pricing range starts at $ 20,098 for the entry-level gasoline-powered trim. The E-power Luxion hybrid price starts at $34,842 which is above than the price of the top-spec variants of its rivals Toyota Noah and honda step WGN models.
