Engine, power, and Transmission

In the US-spec XB7, the mild-hybrid 4.4-litre bi-turbo V8 engine generates 630 horsepower (470 kW/ 639 PS) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. This statistic reflects an increase of 18 horsepower (13 kW / 18 PS) over the previous model, made possible by a new exhaust manifold, better cooling, and an upgraded Alpina ECU. The highest torque figure may be the same as the previous XB7, but it is now available across a larger range, from 1,800 to 5,600 rpm. The standard BMW X7 M60i, which uses a different version of the same engine to produce 523 horsepower (390 kW/530 PS) and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque, has a smaller advantage than this vehicle.

The xDrive technology and an updated electronically variable limited-slip differential on the rear axle work together to provide power to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. With an acceleration time of 3.9 seconds or 0.3 seconds quicker than previously, the power increase has a considerable impact on performance. In addition to the same high speed of 290 km/h (180 mph) when equipped with the smaller 21-inch wheels, the manufacturer claimed an excellent quarter-mile time of 12.4 seconds.

BMW Alpina XB7 Price

The XB7’s starting price is $145,000 plus $995 in transportation and handling fees, which is significantly more expensive than the BMW X7 M60i’s starting price of $103,100.
