The 2022 ford ranger exterior features orange and black side detailing and  18-inch wheels available in matte black. A  gloss-black accent on the grille, bumpers, mirror caps, and fenders plus orange grille nostrils.

Under the hood, the 2022 ford ranger truck features a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This engine powers a total of 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. For all Ranger pickup trucks, a 10-speed automatic transmission system distributes the power to either the rear wheels or all four wheels depending on the model.

The ford ranger trucks come with a terrain management system that helps the engine respond depending on the type of terrain the truck is driving on. This system comes with four selectable drive modes which are Normal, grass/gravel/snow, mud/ ruts, and sand.

Also, the ford ranger trucks come with good ground clearance whereas the rear-wheel drive models come with 8.4 inches of ground clearance. The four-wheel drive models are available and come with a ground clearance of 8.9 inches.

In the interior, the crew cab offers more space and seats up to five passengers, and features four full-size doors. Both cabs are comfortable and have user-friendly controls that are easily accessible.

Infotainment and connectivity features

In terms of connectivity, the ford ranger XLT and lariat models pack the most features while the base XL model comes standard and has few infotainment features. In the XL you get a four-speaker AM/FM audio system, a single USB port, and a wifi hotspot that supports up to 10 devices. Moving up the trim the XLT and Lariat come with an 8.0 infotainment touchscreen display that supports apple car play and android auto.

Also in these two models, you get an integrated navigation system 10 speaker Bang and Olufsen sound system, and a SiriusXM satellite radio.

Safety and driver assistance features

The ford ranger truck features a lot of standard and basic driver assistance features, however, moving up the trim level you get more advanced safety features.  Standard features include forward collision warning and emergency braking. Also available are blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert and adaptive cruise control.

The starting price for the 2022 Ford Ranger XL is $27,685 for SuperCrew vehicles and $25,285 for SuperCab variants. A four-wheel drive upgrade costs roughly $3,900.

The Ford Ranger XLT is priced at $29,335 for SuperCab models, while SuperCrew cars cost $31,510. The Ford Ranger Lariat costs $35,550 for SuperCrew versions and $33,375 for SuperCab variations.
