The Toyota Highlander has been around for 25 years. To commemorate, Toyota unveiled the Highlander 25th Edition, an aesthetic upgrade that helps differentiate the well-liked SUV from other family trim levels. However, you may need to squint to notice the adjustments.
Exterior Updates
The 25th Edition maintains the iconic Highlander design but adds silver accent trim to the base of the front and rear fascias and silver rocker trim on either side. It is available in grey or white, and it is mounted on unique 20-inch wheels. In case you overlook those particulars, search for a 25th Edition emblem situated on the back liftgate.
Interior updates
On the inside, the leather-covered seat headrests and doorsills bear additional 25th Edition insignia. There are unique floormats and 25th Edition logos on puddle lamps as well. The Limited Hybrid trim, which comes equipped with a ton of goodies including a JBL radio, three-zone climate control, and a 12.3-inch centre display screen, is the foundation for all 25th Edition models. It’s important to remember that the 25th Edition is a limited-edition product. For the US market, Toyota will only produce 2,500 cars of this trim.
Other Updates
There have also been upgrades for the remaining Highlander models. All-wheel drive is now a standard feature on all hybrid models. For XLE, Limited, and Platinum trims, the Heavy Metal grey paint is an optional upgrade if you’re not interested in the 25th Edition. A new badge is available for hybrid Highlanders, while the sportier XSE is equipped with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster featuring a Sport Mode screen.
Price and Availability
Right now, Toyota just displays the base pricing of the regular Highlander LE FWD, which is $39,520 before destination fees. The price difference from the present model is only $250, but since all hybrids are now all-wheel drive, the least expensive one should be far more.
We expect the starting price for the 2025 Highlander Hybrid to be around $45,000. The 2025 Highlander will go on sale in November.
