What’s New
- Starting at $32,265 for the 2025 Subaru BRZ is a $950 increase over the previous model year.
- The cost of other trims ranges from $950 to $1,100.
- The new Sport mode is the only update for 2025, although the automatic transmission isn’t compatible with it.
We have bad news if you were delaying your purchase of a new Subaru BRZ in the hopes of receiving a better deal or additional equipment. Subaru’s sports vehicle now has a $900 starting price increase, and the destination fee is an additional $50. We honestly can’t figure out why.
With the $1,170 destination fee included, the basic price of the 2025 Subaru BRZ is now $32,265. For that reason, Subaru gives every BRZ trim level a new Sport mode. According to the manufacturer, this software modification provides “sharper throttle response during spirited driving.” It can only be connected to vehicles that have manual transmissions, though. If you choose an automatically shifted trim, everything is the same as a year ago.
How much are the Limited and tS going to cost? In addition, they have increased, with the Limited manual seeing the largest increase at $1,100. Below is a summary of price changes from year to year, including destination fees.
Model | 2025 Price | 2024 Price | Change |
BRZ Premium MT | $32,265 | $31,315 | +$950 |
BRZ Limited MT | $34,915 | $33,815 | +$1,100 |
BRZ Limited AT | $35,765 | $34,765 | +$1,000 |
BRZ TS | $37,415 | $36,465 | +$950 |
As BRZ sales literally hit the bottom, there is a price rise. Only 1,414 Subaru vehicles were sold during the first half of the year, a decrease of over 44%. It doesn’t seem like things will get any better in time for the early October third-quarter report.
With its 228 horsepower, 2.4-litre flat-four engine that is a naturally aspirated and manual gearbox, the BRZ is a sports car darling. The tS has more suspension tuning, but at a starting price that is almost certainly close to $40,000, it’s a lot to ask when you can get a Toyota GR Corolla or Subaru WRX for almost the same money.
