The new Bentley-designed hybrid V-8 engine, instead of the iconic W-12 unit, produces 771 horsepower, making it the most powerful car ever produced by the company.
With a 0-60 mph time of under 3.3 seconds and a fully electric driving range of 47 miles, the Flying Spur blends speed and efficiency seamlessly. The inside received the latest tech upgrades such as a new digital instrument cluster and a tailored audio system, but the exterior has kept its brilliant familiarity with subtle changes. Bentley’s flagship sedan is the 2025 Flying Spur, which offers comfort, supreme power, and style.
Engine Update
Under the hood, the iconic Bentley W-12 engine has been replaced by a new Hybrid twin turbo V8 engine. That setup debuted in the 2025 Continental GT Speed, and now you’ll find it under the hood of the 2025 Flying Spur. The New engine makes 771 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque, making the 2025 Flying Spur the most powerful sedan Bentley has ever built. It sees a 19% increase in horsepower over the previous model and an 11% increase in torque, and it takes just 3.3 seconds to reach 60 miles per hour—half a second quicker than the old car.
Hybrid Features
In addition to the new powerful V-8 engine is a 25.9-kilowatt-hour battery pack that produces 187 hp and 332 lb-ft on its own. This setup gives the Flying Spur 47 miles of electric driving range (on the EU cycle) at speeds of up to 87 mph. Combine that with the gas engine and the Flying Spur’s total driving range is 515 miles.
The Bentley Flying Spur comes with Four battery-specific drive modes that allow you to get the most out of the electrification. This includes; Pure EV, Electric Boost, Regenerative Braking, and Charge. Charge mode uses the gas engine to drive the wheels and recoup energy, but you can also plug into a Level 2 charger. It takes the Flying Spur two hours and 45 minutes to recharge at a rate of 11 kilowatts.
Driving Performance
Bentley’s advanced Active Chassis system comes standard in the 2025 Flying Spur. This system includes an adaptive suspension with all-wheel steering, an electronically controlled limited-slip differential, and returned ESC software. The Flying Spur has a weight distribution of 48.3% front and 51.7% rear ensuring balance and performance.
Design
In terms of design, the 2025 flying looks similar to its predecessor, with only subtle changes. However, it features a refreshed grille and a new front bumper with aggressive vents for a sportier look. Additionally, Bentley’s iconic rounded headlights remain.
For even sharper styling, buyers can choose for the Styling Specification aero package, which comes in carbon fibre or—new for 2025—body-coloured paint. Speaking of colours, the Flying Spur comes in 101 shades, including every shade found in Bentley’s historical records.
Interior and Technology
Stepping inside, There are notable technological advances inside the 2025 flying spur. There’s a new digital instrument cluster and an undisclosed-size central touchscreen that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as over-the-air updates for maps. The new My Bentley App Studio also allows owners to download third-party apps for music, gaming, navigation, and other activities.

A 10-speaker, 650-watt audio system is included as standard. However, purchasers can upgrade to a 16-speaker, 1,500-watt Bang & Olufsen system or a 19-speaker, 2,200-watt system with Active Bass Transducers incorporated into the front seats. The 2025 Flying Spur is also nine decibels quieter than its predecessor due to laminated glass in the windshield and side windows.
Price and Availability
The 2024 Flying Spur price starts at about $217,000, but Bentley has yet to provide pricing information for the 2025 model. Given the enhancements, the 2025 version is projected to cost more. The new Flying Spur is scheduled to arrive at dealerships before the end of the year.
