The Toyota Camry Sedan is s mid-sized car that has persevered and continues to improve while preserving all of its recognized attributes. The 2023 Toyota Camry continues on unscathed by decades of shifting styles, the emergence of SUVs, and the attack of aggressive rivals like the Honda Accord. Toyota improved the Camry throughout the course of eight generations while maintaining all of its famed features. They include dependability, sizable cabins, expensive resale prices, and comfort.
Toyota Camry Exterior
Using the Toyota Camry SE trim from the nightshade edition as a starting point, the exterior of the 2023 Toyota Camry has received a few tweaks. The other change adds 19-inch bronze-finished alloy wheels to the nightshade version. The Toyota Camry XLE, which offers chrome enhancements, is the only Camry model without a grey or black grille. A metallic black roof is an additional option for the XSE and Toyota Camry TRD to contrast with the body color. The TRD variant’s exterior components, including a fixed rear wing, are primarily black.
Toyota Camry Interior
The interior of the 2023 Camry compensates for its lack of stylistic flair with an easy-to-use system. Additionally, the materials in the interior get better as you move up the trim levels, nearly to the point of appearing extravagant. For example, the Toyota Camry XLE includes wood trim, whereas the XSE has metal accents in its stead.
Although some higher trims favor the 9-inch touchscreen, all displays produce pleasing, sharp visuals. With this technology, which is very user-friendly and intuitive, there is also almost any learning curve.
Infotainment and connectivity
The LE, SE, and TRD models all come with a seven-inch touchscreen that supports Wi-Fi Hotspot, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, and SiriusXM as standard equipment. The XLE grade includes a larger nine-inch touchscreen (optional on the LE and SE), remotely linked services, a wireless charger, navigation, and a premium JBL sound system with nine speakers, including a subwoofer.
2023 Toyota Camry Cargo space
At 192.1 inches, which is around four inches shorter than the Accord, the Camry is comparable in length to the Nissan Altima and Hyundai Sonata. It offers 38 inches of rear legroom, which is nearly as much as the enormous Honda and around three inches more than what you’ll find in Nissan and Hyundai’s competitors, as well as 38 inches of rear headroom, which is more than any of the other three. The Camry’s modest trunk area of 15.1 cubic feet, on the other hand, places it behind the competition.
Engine power and transmission
Under the bonnet, All Camry models, with the exception of the TRD variant, comes standard with a 2.5-liter engine. The atmospherically-aspirated four-cylinder engine generates 203 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, while the 3.5-litre V6 engine, which comes standard on the TRD trim and available on the XLE and XSE trims, generates 301 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque. While the four-cylinder engine may be equipped with an all-wheel-drive system for $1,400, both engines provide power to the front wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Fuel economy and efficiency
In the Toyota Camry LE and SE trims, fuel efficiency peaks at an EPA-estimated 32 miles per gallon combined; this figure is reduced by one MPG in the XLE and XSE trims. These ratings are reduced by two MPG points with all-wheel drive. While providing a more linear powerband, the V6’s 26 MPG combined rating is comparable to that of the upgraded Honda Accord with its turbocharged engine. The Camry Hybrid, which can achieve up to 52 combined MPG, is the vehicle to choose if you want optimum efficiency.
Safety and driver assistance features
A nearly complete list of active safety features is offered on all trims. Automatic emergency braking with pedestrian recognition, lane keep assisting with lane centering, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign assistance, and automatic high beams are all incorporated as standard. The XLE, XSE, and TRD trims come standard with full-speed adaptive cruise control, while blind-spot monitoring is optional on the LE and SE trims. The XLE and XSE grades have front and rear parking sensors with automated braking and a panoramic view camera system.
NHTSA has not yet given the 2023 Camry a rating, but the 2022 model earned five stars as well as a Top Safety Pick+ designation from IIHS.
2023 Toyota Camry price
