The Subaru Forester’s popularity has been fueled by its usefulness and ability to travel everywhere thanks to its ground clearance, despite being a compact crossover. It was recently announced that the 2022 Subaru Forester had undergone a styling overhaul. In addition, the Subaru Forester introduced a new model trim called the wilderness to its roster, which comes with a tough look package and greater ground clearance. The Subaru Forester competes against other small crossovers including the Honda CR-V and Toyota Rav 4.

Engine, power, transmission
The Subaru Forester’s design was improved in 2022, but the engine was left untouched. The same 2.5-litre four-cylinder boxer petrol engine powers it. Its engine generates 239 NM of torque and 182 horsepower. A continuously variable transmission system transmits all of this power to all four wheels.
The hybrid vehicles in the lineup are propelled by two 2.0-litre gasoline engines, each producing 110 kW and 196 Nm, plus a lithium-ion battery pack with a 12 kW/66 Nm electric motor. They have a CVT and are all-wheel drive as well.
Fuel consumption
The Subaru Forester fueled by gasoline only uses 7.4 liters per 100 kilometers on a mixed cycle. The fuel consumption of hybrid vehicles is lower, at 6.7 liters per 100 kilometers, and they have a 43-liter fuel tank as opposed to a 63-liter tank for gasoline-powered vehicles.
